Hairspray Premiere 7/18/2007

On Wednesday, July 18th, I attended the Baltimore premiere of Hairspray, which is based off of the famous broadway play and the 80s film directed by John Waters. The premiere took place at The Charles Theatre on Charles Street in Baltimore. What sucked for me is that I had to come from Fairfax and it took me two hours to get there because of traffic. Shocker, when I got there, the parking lot and garage were already full, so I had to park illegally at some private parking lot. I walked up to the theatre and like five minutes later I saw a tow truck drive in there, so I ran over there and luckily he had not towed my car yet. I do not know how this happened, but I met a lady who had been walking to her car or something who said she could give me a temporary parking pass to park there. Remember, I had never been to this area before and she was basically saving my ass from getting towed and being charged $260. Anyways, so I get back to the red carpet and there are about 100 little screaming girls who are so excited to see the actors get out of their limos. It was a great time though. My favorite interview was John Waters. He was really funny to talk to. James Marsden was really cool, considering he played Cyclops in the X-Men movies.
